There are many thoughtful pieces of writing on the Emancipation & Liberation webpage. This makes it worth reading.
Though you must choose the direction you want to see the site travel, I strongly suggest that photographs with sniping, snide comments should not be one.
There is a need for thoughtful, incisive analysis and commentary on the Scottish left free from the trivialisation of issues that such an approach projects.

However, it is probably because the overwhelming amount of material we post is serious and analytical, that I think it can be lightened up occasionally by a little bit of satire. The last piece we did in a similar vein was back in June – many articles ago. Although here it was the images, rather than the text which were making the satirical point .
