As William and Kate embark on a charm offensive tour of the Caribbean, people are taking to the streets and social media to let them know they\u2019re not welcome.<\/p>\n

The tour to commemorate the Queen\u2019s Platinum Jubilee began on\u00a019 March<\/a>. Their first stop is Belize, and locals have not let the visit go unchallenged. In a victory for the people \u2013 and embarrassingly for the Royals \u2013 a visit to Indian Creek village was\u00a0hastily cancelled<\/a>\u00a0due to protests. William and Kate had been due to visit a cacao farm owned by Flora and Fauna International (FFI), of which the prince is a patron. But residents held up signs saying \u201cColonial legacy of theft continues<\/a>\u201d because FFI continues to prevent the villagers from accessing land. The villagers said they felt \u201cdisrespected\u201d, as they weren\u2019t even told about the impending visit.<\/p>\n

Britain should apologise for \u201ccrimes against humanity\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Next on William and Kate\u2019s tour is Jamaica. People plan to take to the streets in the capital of Kingston too. As race correspondent Nadine White\u00a0tweets<\/a>:<\/p>\n
