PEAT AND DIESEL AT THE BARROWLANDS

Allan Armstrong reviews Peat and Diesel playing at Glasgow’s Barrowlands on 25.1.20

As a fan of traditional and folk rock music since the 1960s, I have had some great nights out. But straight into my top 5 would be Peat and Diesel performing at Glasgow’s Barrowlands on 25th January. Peat and Diesel is a three-piece band from Stornoway. The 56-year-old Chevron was best known as the guitarist for legendary Irish folk punk band The Pogues. However, his music career goes back to the founding of The Radiators From Space in 1976 — described as Ireland’s first punk band.
